Capilano River (North Shore) Wednesday Evening Training
June 7th 2017 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Organizers: Mike Rascher (Event Director), Joanne Woods (Membership)
Map: Capilano River
Description
Come out to one of our most beautiful maps this Wednesday evening. We'll meet near the fish hatchery in Capilano River Park. The first challenge is getting there, since they are paving Capilano Road near the park entrance and you can only get the entrance by driving down the hill. There's a detour towards Edgemont to get onto the road above that. We're experimenting with 'Tan' contour lines on this map printing to make the gravel trails stand out more. With so many contours mapped at 2.5 m the canyon has many lines that can obscure other details. This printing makes it look kind of flat though it's certainly not.
