Description

This week's WET (Wednesday Evening Training) will be held at Queen's Park in New Westminster. 

Headlamps will be needed as we will be starting after sunset, just north of the Queen's Park Arena, by the gazebo in the Rose Garden.

Schedule

6:15 pm - Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30 pm - Starts begin for both courses

8:00 pm - Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish by Course Closure Time.

Courses:

We will be setting up two courses designed by our newly crowned 2014 North American junior men's sprint champion: Adam Woods. (Congrats Adam!)

The first course is Shorter, with 15 controls, and is appropriate for families.

The second course is Longer, with 33 controls; You'll want a fully-charged headlamp for this one.

Safety Precautions:

Sunset is at 6:22 pm on Wed, Oct 15 so bring your headlamps!

Parking/Start/Finish Locations:

Enter the park at 3rd Ave. & 1st St. 

The start and finish location is just north of the Queen's Park Arena, by the gazebo in the Rose Garden.
