Organizers: John Rance (Event Director), Karen Lachance (Coach), Rachel Howard (Coach), Jules Tough (Membership), Joanne Woods (Membership)

Map: Queen's Park

Queen's Park is one of our best sprint maps. There are courses suitable for all ablities and training is available for novices and others who whish to improve their skills. The format is similar to the recent Fraser Foreshore event with loops returning to a central hub under the awning at the front of the arena. There are 6 loops. 2 between 500-600 mts. 3 approximately 1250 mts each. And 1 of 1600 mts. Total straight line distance = 6500 mts. Do them in any order and as many or as few as you wish. Sign up by Tuesday evening please.

Take special notice of the out of bounds on the busy road. You must cross via the pedestrian footbridge.

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.

Parking/Start Location: Meet in front of the Arena. Enter the park from the corner of 1st Street and 3rd Avenue.

Post-Event Dining TBA There are many options in the 300 and 400 blocks of 6th Street.

Without volunteers, these events cannot take place. A hearty thanks to all those helping put this event on. If you would like to volunteer/help at upcoming WETs/WJRs or would like to organize a WET please let us know
