Description

Welcome to this sprint training. I'd like to welcome you at Londsdale Quay next Wednesday.
The meeting point is next to the seabus station. There will be three loop and an additional Beginner loop.
You will run through urban areas and some small parks. I recommend wearing running shoes.

I am looking forward to see you.

Schedule

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30pm Starts

8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Courses

Similar to the last WET at Queen Elizabeth Park, there will be 3 loops with different levels.

The training is organized as a sprint training.

Loop Beginner = 1200m distance
Loop 1 Novice = 1400m distance
Loop 2 Advanced = 2100m distance
Loop 3 Advanced = 1600m distance

It is up to you how many loops and in which order. New orienteers should start with the loop Beginner and continue with loop 1. Advanced orienteers should concentrate on loops 3 and 4 but can add 2 as well.

Please sign-in for "Beginner" if you like to do the Beginner loop first otherwise sign-in for "I love sprint-ol".

**Do not run into traffic, take your time to cross the streets!
**As always, NEVER run through gardens, flowers, or areas mapped as olive green. If it looks like a maintained garden or nice, go around!

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.
