Back to the North Shore in the beautiful Capilano River Park! This time we'll do a mass start at 6:40pm, so make sure you arrive in time! You'll be able to do all controls in any order you like for additional fun. For beginners and those who don't want to participate in the mass start, individual starts are possible as well.

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30pm Starts for beginners and those who don't want to participate in the mass start

6:40pm Mass start

8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Beginner course --  focusing mostly on the southern half of the map. All controls comfortably reachable from trails.

Advanced course -- a few controls in the northern half, but also mostly focused on the southern half as to not have too much overlap with 3 weeks ago on the Cleveland Dam map. Most controls reachable from trails with a few exceptions and steep sections.

The courses are shorter and faster than those of recent weeks, so make every control count!

Safety Precautions

Please carry a GVOC whistle. We sell them at every event for $1 - what a bargain!

Parking/Start/Finish Locations

Parking is available near the fish hatchery, at the end of Capilano Park Road. Meet under the open shelter near the parking lot. Please note this is a different starting location than the parking lot at the dam from 3 weeks ago.
