Jericho Beach O-tervals Wednesday Evening Training

Description
This week's WET will consist of a Beginner's point to point course and two O-terval courses of different lengths. O-tervals or Orienteering Intervals are courses with several different mini courses within it. It consists of several Starts and Finishes. This week's goal with the O-tervals is to plan ahead by a control or two and anticipate what is coming.
Schedule
6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners
6:30pm Starts
8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.
Courses
One point-to-point course and two O-terval courses will be available. The Beginner course (2.3km) is point-to-point and relatively straight forward. The Shorter (3.5km) and Longer (5.7km) O-terval courses have several Orienteering Intervals within one or two loops.
Safety Precautions
Be careful when crossing roads, carry a GVOC whistle, stay safe.
Parking/Start/Finish Locations
There is a small paring lot near the Start by the Locano Beach washrooms and street parking along NW Marine Drive and on other streets nearby. There is pay parking outside the Jericho Sailing Center down Discovery St.
Post-Event Dining
TBD. There is a nice Patio and Grill restaurant at the Jericho Sailing Center.
