Rice Lake Why Just Run

Come out and test you navigational skills in the forest on the North Shore!
This event is part of the National Orienteering Week when clubs across the country are introducing the sport to newcomers. There will be 4 courses offered:
* Beginner - 3 km - for newcomers and kids - controls on or close to trails.
* Sport - 8 km - for adult fit newcomers - long course with easier controls.
* Advanced 5 km - for experienced orienteers - masters and older juniors
* Elite 8 km - for elite orienteers - long with difficult navigation

Registration opens at 9:30 am. Start anytime between 10 and 11 am.
Rice Lake is on the North Shore, 10 minute drive from the Second Narrows Bridge. From the bridge, take exit 22 to Lillooet Rd, drive past Capilano College and all the way up to the parking lot by the new water filtration plant. Here is a map.
Entry fees are $5 for juniors (20 and under), $10 for adults and $20 for families.
Note! You have to be a GVOC club member for 2010, which is $5 for juniors and $10 for adults.
