Hi everyone,

Please join us for this week’s WET at the spectacular Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver. It is a popular swimming destination, so feel free to take a dip after your run! Bring the whole family as there are wonderful picnic spots, a playground, tennis courts, a cafe, and more!

There will be three courses offered: an easier 1.6km loop for beginners, and two harder 2km loops for more advanced orienteers. You can do one, two or three loops as most controls are different on each loop.

Due to the tide schedule we unfortunately will not have access to the islet, but feel free to swim there if you like!

You are guaranteed to have some amazing views on your course, but please keep in mind that many areas have cliffs and slippery rocks. Be very careful and only run or walk as fast as is safe to do. Please respect the fences and signs posted around the park alerting you to the safety boundaries.

All courses will be crossing the parking lots and the roads in the park, so please watch out for cars, cyclists and other people in the park.

We’ll meet at the covered picnic area west of the playground, see map below. There is free parking in the park, as well as overflow parking further north on Marine Drive. The park is can be accessed by bus from Park Royal or Downtown, but it would take substantially longer, so try to catch a ride with someone if you can. It will be worth it!

There are bathrooms close to the start/finish, as well as several playgrounds. Bring some snacks and a swimsuit so you can enjoy the beach afterwards!
