Deep Cove Wednesday Evening Training

A mix of urban/parks and forest orienteering. The event is free to all club members.

Courses:
Start the course any time between 6:45 and 7:45 pm. Course closure 8:45pm. ** Please check-out with registration even if you don't finish the course on time so we know you are back.
- 3+1 courses will be available (registration on side bar).
- The controls will be marked by pin flags,
- Distances are given as the crow flies. Actual distance and elevation covered will be more.
- Short Intermediate: subset of Intermediate map and use marked shortcut.
- Intermediate course: technically and physically moderate. A few controls are in the forest, not far from good attack points or a path.
- Shorter Advanced: technical controls, and moderately strenuous. Potentially complex navigation.
- Longer Advanced: has significant elevation gain, distance, and technical controls.
- All courses, except the shortest have a water fountain at one of the controls (roughly mid way, and marked on the controls description).
- Also Public water is available at the Start location (so are washrooms) to cool down.
- Consider bringing extra water in any case if it stays that hot.
- For the advanced courses, starting on the earlier side is (strongly) recommended.

- Printed maps will be available for pick up at the start on Wednesday July 7 starting at 6:45pm. (no mapRunF for this course)
Parking:
Panorama Park ; Deep Cove beach parking and nearby RockCliff Road; Myrtle park lot. Cove Cliff School p.lot;
Meet Location:
Meet will be under the sheltered area in Panorama Park in Deep Cove with ample space for picnic. (See map at bottom of page)

- You must be a member of the club in order to participate and a Declaration of Health form must also be filled out on the day of the event.
- ***Please register by Wednesday July 7th 10am***, so we know how many maps to print.
