Course Maps

6 Loops

Organizers: John Rance (Event Director), Graeme Rennie (Coach)

Second event on this map and the first in the dark. Six loops, each returning to a central hub. Loops vary between 710 and 1150 metres for a straight line total of 4900 metres. The concept is similar to the recent SFU event except the loops are longer. Only a small portion of the map will be used so there will be lots of orienteers crossing and recrossing each other.

Do the loops in any order and do as many or as few as you wish.

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.

Parking/Start Location: From the pin location in the parking lot walk 100 metres SW to a covered picnic shelter. Enter the parking via a narrow lane 70 metres before the end of Byrne Road.

Post-Event Dining
