Map: McDonald Beach

Transportation to meet site is not entirely easy. Please try to car share. Another good option is to take bicycle on Canada Line to Templeton Station, then bike the 3.5 km to the meet site. Alternately, it will be a pleasant 20 minute warm up jog along the North Arm of the Fraser River.

McDonald Beach Park O map has been overlooked for the past couple of years. It is a delightfully pretty spot, but very confusing in the dark/rain/fog. The courses will be relatively short compared to previous events...a great warm up for the BC Champs the following weekend.

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30pm Starts

I have spoken to the Park caretaker, Mr. D., and have been assured that gate will stay open till we have departed...but we must finish up by 8:00 PM!

7:45 pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Safety Precautions

Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamp or flashlight is CRITICAL. Summer is over, fall is dark.

Parking/Start/Finish Locations

Post-Event dining: I will search out restaurant at the "Mall on Sea Island", beside the Templeton Canada Line Station.
