Description
Welcome to the 18th WET of the year and the first one ran on the Yaletown map. There will be some fun Point-to Point courses with interesting controls that will hopefully lead to control description reading.
Schedule
6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners
6:30pm Starts
7:00pm WET package course closure
8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.
Courses
There will be 4 courses available. Sprint for Beginners (2.8 km), Middle for Intermediates (3.5 km) and Long for Experts (5.6 km). There also will be a WET package course in which participants will run the Long and the Middle (9km). All of them are point-to-point.
Safety Precautions
Take extra care when crossing roads. Please carry a GVOC whistle. We sell them at every event for $1 - what a bargain!
Parking/Start/Finish Locations
The Start will be South of David Lam park on a staircase at the waterside. Pay parking can be found underground on Drake St and Pacific Blvd. There is also some street parking around the Roundhouse and some street parking west of David Lam Park
