Lynn Valley Adventure Run Why Just Run

Welcome out to this traditional event on the North Shore. This year we will be running on a brand new map of the Lynn Valley area. Take on the challenge of navigating the streets and trails of our neighborhood!
You can race or just do it like a fun hike! Go with your friend in a team or do it solo.
Courses for all skills and abilities, plus a bike option:
Short: For newcomers or youth. About 5 km.
Sport: Easier navigation, but long course. About 10 km.
- Advanced: Difficult navigation, but shorter course. About 8 km.
- Elite: Long and difficult. About 15 km.
- Bike: Long with bike accessible controls. About 17 km.
Every participant, even if you are in a team of 2, has to sign up here on the website, in order to get a map.
You have to be a member of GVOC for 2010 to participate. Price for membership for first time members is $5. Returning Adults are $10, Juniors are $5 and Families are $20.
The race fee is $10 for Adults, $5 for Juniors and $20 for Families.
Registration starts at 10 am. First start at 10:30 am.
We will have some draw prizes! One of them is a free registration for the last race of the 2010 Run the North Shore series called "Phantom Run" organized by Mountain Madness on Sat, Nov.13th.
Bikers! If you have one, bring a map holder. Or find a way how to attach the map to your handle bars or your jacket. It will help you to navigate faster. At least 1/3 of the course on trails in the forest, the rest on residential parks and streets. Mountain bike recommended.

Event ReportThanks to everyone coming out to this fun event in surprising sunshine! We had around 80 participants, of which many were kids! We also organized our first ever bike-O course.
