Enjoy a brand new map before it is constructed over, courtesy of Alton. There are 2 courses available, one beginner/intermediate, and one advanced.

There will be two courses offered: an easier 2km course for beginners and intermediate runners, and a harder 3-4km course for more advanced orienteers. There is parking at the school/community center. Public transport from Rupert Skytrain station. Meet at the boulders next to the playground and basketball court.

All courses will be around a very quiet residential area. Please be mindful and try not to spend too much time dwelling in those areas. Due to this being a residential area, some controls may be moved/missing due to residents. Note it is unlikely, but there may be negative interactions with residents in this area, so be cautious.

Map Notes:

Sited on fourteen acres atop a slope with a dramatic 100-foot change in elevation, Skeena Terrace provides a very small, but technically challenging area for orienteering with many narrow passages and staircases. As public housing, the area is a stark contrast to the orienteering areas we usually encounter around the rest of Vancouver (single-family homes), and is great fun to run around!
