Confederation Park Wednesday Evening Training
June 1st 2022 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Organizers: Victoria Cote (Event Director), Victoria Cote (Course Planner), Joanne Woods (Membership), John Rance (Controller), Stan Woods (Coach)
Map: Confederation Park
The Beginner course is about 1.8 kms, the Intermediate course is about 3.4 kms and the Advanced course is about 4.4 kms.
The Beginner course is great for practicing handrailing. Since it's quite short the beginners could potentially try the Intermediate course following the Beginner course.
The Intermediate has relatively straightforward navigation, it's forgiving since the park area has open spaces and trails. It's an opportunity for Beginners who want to challenge themselves and work on their navigation skills without too much difficulty since it's a friendly park with mostly grass and some paved areas.
The Advanced course has lots of controls and some changes in direction.
The meeting location is a covered picnic shelter located West of Confederation Park Elementary School. There's lots of parking nearby but the closest washrooms to the start/finish would be at the Burnaby Public Library, McGill Branch.
