Time and location:
The finish area will be located underneath the Dentistry building at UBC. There is parking available at the "UBC Village" or in the "UBC Hospital" parking lot (See this google map for the finish location and parking location). The nearest transit stops are the "Acadia Road/UBC Village" and "2200Block/ UBC Hospital" stops for regular busses, and "UBC loop" for the electric busses. Registration begins at 9:30am. First start at 10:00am. All courses close at 1:00pm.

**Directions
******Travelling west on 10th avenue: Continue on 10th past Blanca Street where 10th turns into University Blvd. Right after the McDonalds on the left hand side, turn into the parking lot in the UBC Village. Alternatively, continue on University Blvd, and turn left on Wesbrook Mall at the lights. Turn right on the next road into the parking lot at the hospital.

Travelling NW on South west Marine Drive: Turn right at 16th avenue. Go up the hill and turn left in the roundabout at Wesbrook Mall. Go past the first lights and turn left into the hospital parking lot just before the second set of lights.

**Courses:
******Three courses will be offered:
* Beginner (2.5km)

  • Short Advanced (5.0km)

  • Long Advanced (8.3km)The beginner course is suitable for participants who have done little or no orienteering before. The short advanced course will be similar in length to a regular WET series event. The long advanced course will feature long route-choice critical legs combined with closer spaced controls requiring more fine navigation.

Pre-registration:
**In order to print the correct number of maps we ask that you pre-register on this website before Saturday October 18 at noon.

Post-event GVOC Annual General Meeting:
**GVOC is run by volunteers. If you have ever wanted to know more about how the club is run or would you like to help out the orienteering community, then the GVOC Annual General Meeting is for you. The AGM takes place right the event at Mahoney's Pub (less than 100 meters away).
