Capilano University Weekly Virtual Training

This week we are having a virtual training event using MapRunF in the areas around Capilano University in North Vancouver There are two courses: Short (2.5 km 17 controls) and Long (4.1 km 31 controls). The terrain is a mix of park and urban, with some sections of dense controls to focus on quick route choices. NOTE: the phone app has a problem with a number of controls on this course so presume you are in the right place even if you aren't.
There is parking along Lillooet Road, north of the start/finish, or paid parking throughout the campus. Lillooet Road can be busy so please use caution crossing it (and the rest of the roadways) throughout the courses.
There is significant road work at the Highway 1 intersection north of the second narrows bridge. Please check the latest traffic to ensure you get the correct exit as the usual exist is now closed and your GPS may send you the wrong way:

Because our insurance policy requires that everyone who participates in a GVOC event is a member of the club, please email gvoc.membership@gmail.
The long course map should be printed in landscape format to maintain scale.
Remember that these events are to be run/walked individually or as a household, obeying all the social distancing recommendations currently in place. However, for your personal safety please let somebody know where you are and what you are doing. These are not sanctioned events; we don't retain any liability for participants. This is a do it at your own risk, training suggestion.
