Description
Come join us this Wednesday for a very interesting mix of urban, forest and neighbourhood trail running. Set in the Montroyal neighbourhood off the top of Capilano Road / Nancy Greene Way in North Vancouver, this is a great map with lots of interesting trails and some hills to keep your mind and body busy!
There will be three courses including a very manageable course for Beginners, an Advanced course with interesting route choices and some hills to conquer and an Elite course that will be longer and hillier with maybe a gnarly bit or two. Note distances are approximate as courses aren't finalized and are straight line distances (actual distance will be substantially longer) and did I mention the hills?
Schedule
6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners
6:30pm Starts
8:00 pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.
Safety Precautions
The Advanced and Elite courses are hilly, possibly slippery in spots and dark - so come prepared and be safe!
Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.
Parking/Start Location:
