Great mixed park/forest/urban area. Good practice before the Western Canadians!

Full leg covering recommended, metal studs not recommended for the Long Advanced.

3 courses offered

  • Beginner - For beginners but gets a good taste of the woods.
  • Short Advanced - For experience orienteerers.
  • Long Advanced - For experience orienteerers who want a physical challenge.

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30pm Starts

8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.

Parking/Start Location

We'll meet at the soccer field in Roche Point Park next to Sherwood Park Elementary. I don't think there are washrooms nearby - There are some businesses or cates park a couple minutes drive away.
