Description

First time this map has been used. And probably the first time most participants will have visited this hidden gem on the North Arm of the Fraser River. The terrain is extremely flat so expect high speed racing through riverside parkland, warehouses, and office parks.


Schedule

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30pm Starts

8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Courses

3 loop mass start head-to-head race starts at 6:45 precisely. You can choose to do 1,2,or 3 loops on your own. You can also start on your own time from 6:30.


Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.

Parking/Start Location: Meet near the toilet building at the south foot of Byrne Road

Post-Event Dining Bring your dinner and enjoy a picnic by the river.
