Schedule
6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners
6:30pm Starts
8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.
Courses
There will be a beginner-friendly point-to-point course that'll stay close to the start/finish - perfect for families.
Butterflies on the longer course (probably more moths than butterflies at this time of night).
Safety Precautions
Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential on the longer course. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots.
Parking/Start/Finish Locations
Start at the flagpole on Vanier Point, near Bard on the Beach (see location map). There's some free parking on the streets to the east of the Planetarium. Pay lots in the park, itself. Least expensive is the gravel lot near the bike park.
Post-Event dining
Several options available along Yew Street.
