Map: Capilano University

This week we'll work on our map memories so that we can spend more time moving and less time stopping to look at the maps as we orienteer!

There will be a few options available so there will be something for everyone from total beginners to advanced folks. We'll give out details with the the maps on the evening but the basic idea is that we will be trying to do the courses without looking at the map to often so we can keep moving along and (hopefully) get around the course a bit quicker. But don't be intimidated, there will be maps available if you feel you're not ready for that and want to do the course as usual with the map.

Courses will be open from 6pm - 7:30pm with a few loops on offer so you can choose what level of challenge you want. You can also start with some short, easier ones and up the difficulty as you gain confidence.

At 7:30pm we'll head for a pot luck in Purcell Way which is about a 5 minute walk from the start / finish. I'll give you the address at the WET and I'll have some sort of veggie soup or stew to share. If you can please bring along some food to share but no worries if you don't, everyone is welcome to come join.

Logistics - There is free parking on Lillooet Rd or paid parking in the lots at the north and south end of Capilano University and we'll meet at the covered area close to the center of the University (just west of the Alder building on Google maps) and that will be the start / finish for each loop.

Registration is open and you can see who has signed up here
