Map: BCIT

Hope you've all recovered from BCOC, because this week's W.E.T. is a sprint course at BCIT!

Course

There will be one 2.8 km course with 18 controls. There are several spots where participants can easily take "shortcuts" between control legs to shorten the course as they wish. Controls will be marked with pin flags.

Because this is a sprint course, make sure you carefully read the map and control descriptions so that you don't get "trapped" by an uncrossable feature or dead end!

Safety

Bringing a whistle is recommended. It's also not a bad idea to bring sunscreen and some water to drink. It's starting to get dark earlier, so you might want to bring a headlamp as well.

Start

We will start at 6:30 PM. Participants are welcome to come at 6:15 if they would like a short introduction to orienteering. The start is at the northeast corner of Parking Lot L.

Parking

To avoid having to pay for parking on the BCIT campus, free parking is available at the ICBC building and around Greentree Village Park.

Registration

Register by clicking on this link or the big green "Register" button on this page. The registration will stay open until the event start, so just register and show up!
