For World Orienteering Day we have a training event for you in beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park. Invite a friend to come and join you to give the sport of orienteering a try. We will have someone there to offer training to your friend.
Classic point to point training event. Three lengths: short medium and long.
START LOCATION: Meet at the WEST entrance close to 33rd and Cambie. (NOTE THE CORRECTION FROM THE EMAIL WHICH WAS SENT OUT)
PARKING: Free parking outside the park on 33rd or Kersland.
You must be an active member of an orienteering club in order to participate, so please do the 2021 GVOC club membership and waiver if haven’t done it yet this year. If you are new to orienteering, you get a 50% discount when you join the club and it costs only $10. If you are not sure if you are a member - send the membership team an email and ask.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Please sign up by the evening of Tuesday Sept 7th so we know how many maps to print.
ON The DAY OF THE EVENT, please do the Declaration of Health by clicking here.
It is getting darker earlier in the evening, so bring a headlamp if you are planning on starting later.
