Description

This WET takes place on the UBC/Acadia map. Meet on the west side of the Norma Rose Point school. There is free parking along 16th avenue between Blanca St. and Hampton Pl. If you park near Hampton Place, it's just a 5 min walk along the Swordfern trail to the school.

Courses

We offer a 5-6 k course with an option of cutting the course short to 3 k (the short-cut option is printed on the map). The course is 80% grass/pavement in the residential and park areas of Acadia and 20% on forest trails in Pacific Spirit Park. Regular running shoes and clothes will be sufficient.

Schedule

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners
6:30pm Starts
8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Post-Event Dining

Feel free to join us for dinner in the UBC Village area after the run! The exact restaurant to be determined.

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.

Acknowledgements
