Sign up for the Potluck dinner, indicating what you are bringing on the sign up page. If you are doing the Skinkaloppet, please sign up for the Beginner, Expert (Go Ham) or Long (Too Much Eggnog) course. The Expert and Long courses will have two maps. One from the Woods House to Blue Mountain Park (and back) at 1:5,000 scale and the detailed Orienteering map of Blue Mountain Park at 1:4000 scale. Before you start you estimate your time, we take any timing devices, and the winner is the closest to their estimated time.
Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads (especially Blue Mountain). Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.
Meet at the Woods House, 836 Runnymede Avenue Coquitlam. Park on the street near the house. If travelling by Skytrain the Burquitlam Station is about 1.4 km away. Come in and drop off your food, and if you want to do one of the Orienteering courses, change for orienteering, as the start and finish will be accessible from inside the house off the deck at the back of the house.
