WET #23 - Capilano College (chang Wednesday Evening Training

Map: Capilano University

The next WET will be in and around Inter-river Park on the Capilano
College map. This map is a mix of forest and urban trails, residential
areas and schools. Conditions on Wednesday were hard and dry underfoot.
The long course crosses a major road, but the short course has roads with
only light traffic.

There are two courses, long (5.1 km) and short (3.2 km), they are not too
technically challenging, but they have been designed to emphasise good
route choices.

Start is 6:30 pm at the shelter in Bridgman Park on Keith Road. Please
sign up on the GVOC website, or email me (cpalmer@vorb.org.nz) before
Monday so I can print enough maps.

Transit Info:
Take any North Shore bus to Phibbs Exchange, and walk west to Mountain
Highway. Take Mountain Highway north, cross the Lynn River Bridge to Keith
Road and Bridgman Park is on the left (there is a walkway under Keith Road
on the west bank of the Lynn River).
Driving info:
Cross Second Narrows Bridge on Hwy 1, take the Main Street exit (Exit
23a), turn right on Mountain Highway, cross the Lynn River Bridge to Keith
Road, and Bridgman Park is on the left.
From First Narrows take Marine Drive east, veer left onto Keith Road
(watch for the right turn when Keith turns into 13th Street) and follow
Keith Road to just before the Lynn River Bridge (Bridgman Park is on the
right).
