Queen Elizabeth Park Wednesday Evening Training
March 27th 2013 6:30pm
Organizer: Thomas Nipen (Event Director)
Map: Queen Elizabeth Park
WET this week is at exciting Queen Elizabeth Park! Where else can you orienteer with great views of the north shore and, if it stays clear, Mount Baker? Where else will a bunch of trees scattered in grassy fields confuse even the veteran orienteer? Join us at QE park Wednesday. I have two exciting courses planned for you:
1) Beginner course, around 2.5km
2) Long course, around 6km.
The long course consists of two loops. The intention is to have a fun mass-start at 6:45pm. The loops are forked so you will not know which controls the others are running to. In the end everyone will have done the same controls, although in slightly different order.
The long course can be cut short by only running one of the two loops. Individual starts are also possible, but you'll probably enjoy the mass-start more -- I guarantee you it will be super fun!
We are meeting by the fountain at the top of the park. There are great parking opportunities at the top. Registration opens at 6:30pm.
Please sign up beforehand on the website:
Hope to see you all there!
