Organizer: Scott McBride (Event Director)

Map: Capilano University

Please join me in North Vancouver for my first O-course plan in ~15 years!

The course is a traditional point to point format of ~4km length with 20-25 controls. As a continuation of last weeks "clump" training, long running legs alternate with closely spaced near-instant-gratification controls. Terrain ranges from urban campus to open grassy areas to dense forest with small trails. No real bushwhacking is required (unless you can't find the trail!). Lillooet Road runs through the centre of the map, and I have made an effort to jury-rig legs to make crossings safer: please travel along the road and cross when safe. Also, please be courteous to students and residents of nearby neighbourhoods, and respect out-of-bounds closures. It is still dark in the evenings for two more weeks, so please bring a headlamp.

The start will be at the main entrance to Birch Hall, near P1 (Up Lillooet Rd., right on Purcell Way, right on Greg Lee Way to parking lot, Birch Hall on left). Evening parking is $3.25. The start is ~200m S of the Capilano University bus loop, and since it is a university there is a convenient bike rack with numerous abandoned U-locks.

Staggered starts begin at 6:30PM, please register and hope to see you there!
