Confederation Park Wednesday Evening Training

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Start location is at the covered picnic area on the East Side of Confederation Park off of Beta Avenue. See the blue marker on http://g.co/maps/zkb4x .
Courses include multiple short loops each passing through a common control point. Terrain includes open park, some streets, some treed areas which may be muddy depending on the rain.
Please be sure to bring your headlamp. You may also wish to wear long tights as some of the route choices may take you near blackberry bushes.
Registration is open, please sign up by 7pm on Tuesday night so we can be sure to print out enough maps.

EVENT SUMMARY: Under the rain, participants completed a control-picking course with 43 controls on a 5.0km course composed of 3 loops. The short course was composed of 2 loops with 31 controls. After the event, 13 lucky souls went to EX-SITE for chicken souvlaki, nachos, salads, burgers, and drinks. We all seemingly enjoyed our meals and the value! WET results are now posted. Did Not Starts are indicated under Noncompetitive N/C with a time of 2h; N/Cs do not get included in the calculations for rankings.

EVENT SUMMARY: Under the rain, participants completed a control-picking course at Confederation Park in Burnaby. Terrain included city parks, school grounds, streets, and wooded areas. The standard course was set with 43 controls on a 5.0km course composed of 3 loops. The short course was composed of 2 loops with 31 controls. The start and finish location was at one of the covered picnic areas on the East side of Confederation Park. Chatting, cookies, and juice were had under the shelter! After the event, 13 lucky souls went to EX-SITE on E. Hastings for chicken souvlaki, nachos, salads, burgers, and drinks. We all seemingly enjoyed our meals and the value! WET results are now posted.
