Map: Grand Boulevard/Greenwood Park

Description

Come join us for a fast paced sprint type event up and down Grand Boulevard in North Vancouver. This is an interesting urban park with hundreds of individually mapped trees. This makes for a technical map in an open area. Especially in the dark. Especially on almost Halloween.

Schedule

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30pm Starts

8:00 pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Courses

We will have three loops of varying length so choose how many you want to do.

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.

Parking/Start Location:

Park in the parking lot off 13th street which is near the children's playground and tennis courts of Ray Perrault Park. See the pin location below. This is easily accessible by transit from the Sea Bus if you want to avoid the imfamous North Shore bridges. There is a very small overhang outside the washrooms which we will use if the weather is inclement.

Post-Event Dining

TBD
