Description

Come down to beautiful Jericho Beach for a WET with a twist!

This week the Easter Oryctolagus Cuniculus has decided to come out early and move some of the controls on course! Many of the controls will be misplaced with the right control marked with a happy face and the wrong controls marked with a sad face. It will be your task to use your orienteering skills to navigate to the control and assure yourself that you are indeed in the right place. I hope that this little addition to the three courses that are offered will add some spice to the Easter Holiday.

Schedule

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30pm Starts

8:00 pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Courses

The three courses that will be available for this WET are the Short, Less Short and the Much Less Short courses. They are all point-to-point and just increase in length and technical difficulty.

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Headlamps are essential to see and be seen. Take care when crossing roads and parking lots. Watch out for other runners, cyclists, and trail/sidewalk users.

Parking/Start Location:

The start will be located around the Lorcano Beach concession stand depending on space availability. You can find free street parking along NW Marine Drive or just outside of the concession stand and there is paid parking at the Jericho Sailing Centre.

Post-Event Dining

Whatever your estomago decides.
