Map: Ambleside Park

Description

Please come out to the next WET at Ambleside Park on Wednesday 31st May. The weather might not be as spectacular as last Wednesday but this might keep the crowds down at Ambleside because it can get pretty busy on a nice evening!

The courses will be point to point with emphasis on short legs and direction changes out of controls.

The Beginners course is quite short so if you feel like going for a bit longer then try the Intermediate course which covers a bit more of the park but stays clear of anything north of the railway line.

The Advanced course is made up of two loops on separate maps and can be run in either order.

Please sign up by Tues night.

Schedule

6:15pm Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:45pm

8pm Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish before leaving.

Safety Precautions

Always use good judgement and common sense. Carry a whistle at all times. Watch for vehicles and bikes when crossing roads. Be respectful of other pedestrians, cyclists, dog-walkers, roller-bladers, and small children.

Parking/Start/Finish Locations

See map for start/finish parking is free and although it is likely to be fairly busy there should be spots available. Public tranport is best by bus - Marine Drive is close by.

Post-Event dining

TBA
