Your Choice Loops

Organizers: Rachel Howard (Event Director), James Golding (Event Director), Jeremy Gordon (Event Director), Graeme Rennie (Event Director), Kate Knapp (Event Director)

Map: Olympic Village

After your run, come on over for snacks and pizza and join the club AGM immediately following the WET in the adjacent Creekside Community Centre, room MP4. AGM attendance numbers are used to help get funding for our sport, so please do stay for this!

Please sign up to both the loops course (the orienteering bit) and the free pizza (the AGM bit) on the right ->>

Course Details

There will be four loops, with an easy/beginner-friendly loop, a more novice-friendly loop, and then two more technical loops. Each loop is between 1 and 1.6km in length. Beginners may wish to only do the first (or first few) loops while advanced orienteers can do them all! Advanced orienteers that walk might want to only do the challenging loops. Please note the earlier course opening and course closure times.

*Please do NOT go through any areas mapped with pink lines or that are olive green. Some areas are private property and residents get upset when they see people engaging in dodgy activities such as orienteering. Please respect any signs you encounter that indicate private property and avoid route choice that may take you through an area marked as such (even if it looks like an appealing option!).

Annual General Meeting Details

The AGM will be held inside the Creekside Community Centre in room MP4. Enter through the main doors on Athletes Way, then head up the stairs on the right. Be prepared to use your navigation skills as we may not be able to post signs! Free pizza and snacks will be available shortly after the doors open, the official portion of the meeting will be under way by 7:45pm at the latest and we must adjourn by 9pm.

Expect to hear about....

  • GRAND UNVEILING of new CLUB CLOTHING - super exciting! There will be samples for you to try on of all sizes for the shirt, jacket, and pants we're planning on ordering!

  • News from our subcommittees, what's been going on this year and what's to come - quite exciting!
  • President's report - (errr) exciting!
