Low tide occurs at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening, allowing for some novel control placements and training on sand. Some street running anticipated. Please respect and use the pedestrian controlled lights to cross busy streets. For advance orienteers you will have the challenge of "map memory" to navigate multiple controls within small parks.

Post race recommended restaurant is the "Milltown Pub" at #101 9191 Bentley St Richmond, BC V6P 6G2 http://milltownbar.com/ The entrance to the venue is one of the control locations, so it will be easy to locate!

Post Race discussions were held by about 15 of us at Milltown Pub, a good venue. It seems that participants enjoyed running on sandy beaches, climbing tower, sliding under fence etc, etc. Lots of commercial boat and aircraft traffic added to the magic. One pin flag was lost to the incoming tide.

Starting with 5 controls "whited out" on the map was challenging, but runners were quick to adapt to three "map memory segments". Use of the control description as a memory aid seems to have helped as no one returned to recheck the posted maps.
