Description

A chance to practice using bearing and leaving controls at the correct angle. The darkness should make it a better exercise.

Schedule

6:15 pm - Introduction to Orienteering for Beginners

6:30 pm - Starts begin for both courses

8:00 pm - Course Closure, participants must report to the Finish by Course Closure Time.

Courses: There will be a longer course focused on taking bearings and leaving controls at the right angle. In addition there will be a shorter, course without the focus on bearings.

Safety Precautions: Courses may take you along residential streets to the Gladstone secondary school. Watch out for cars.

Parking/Start/Finish Locations: Meet outside the Trout Lake community center's parking lot.
